Testing The Classic

Hello Loves! 

Is everyone ready for the weekend? I know I am! We have been getting hit with a TON of snow lately and I am praying we get a bit of a break from the cold weather and piles of snow! I truly believe I was meant to be born in the South! 

Today I wanted to share some new photos with all of you, and one of my all time favorite dresses. Right after Christmas I got together with my new friend Ryan who is amazingly creative and talented. We had such a great shoot. Find his work HERE!

This dress is from Ann Taylor Loft and perfect for every occasion. I have worn it to almost all major events over the last 5 years and love it. Its so important to always keep a classic dress in your closet that is simple and timeless but also makes you feel beautiful and confident!

Maine Women Cover

Hello Loves!!!! 

I am ALIVE!! As always I am so so so sorry for having disappeared for over a month! I'm happy to report that I have been extremely busy, which makes me extremely happy. I have been blessed with some amazing opportunities lately and am excited to start sharing them with all of you! If you don't already you really should follow 87Life on Facebook, a lot of times it is easier for me to post on Facebook than on here. 

Back in November I was asked to write an article on this season's winter jackets. I spent an entire day in Portland's Old Port searching for the most fabulous coats and jackets. I had such a blast and want to thank Bliss, Black Parrot and Helene M for your help and support!

Comfy in Stripes

Hello Loves! 

How is everyone doing? I hope the new year is treating you all fabulously! I have had a few ups and downs so far, but the ups have made it all worth it! I was lucky enough to be contacted by a wonderful photographer, Ryan, who is one of the owners of a creative studio, More & Co., located right here in Portland. I am very much looking forward to some projects with him! 

I also have been helping plan a upcoming photo shoot with the wonderful Miss Stacia of Stacia Makeup Artistry... I will share more details next week!

87life's Merry Fabulous Holiday Gift Idea #5

Good Evening Loves! 

I can't believe this is my last post until after Christmas! As I have said in previous posts, I am definitely in need of some relaxation and just over all regrouping. 

My last merry fabulous holiday gift idea goes hand in hand with relaxing and also happens to be one of my favorite obsessions; soap. I love, love, love handmade soaps. Sweet Grass Farm's soaps are sold at Skillin's and have been one of my favorites for years. My husband laughs at how much of their soap I keep stashed under the sink and in our drawers!

Some of my favorite scents are, Rosemary Lavender, New England Woods and Green Tea and Seaweed!

This liquid soap by Michel Design Works first caught my eye because of its stunning packaging. A great way to refresh a bathroom is by updating small things like soap dishes, toothbrush holders and hand towels. I always find myself attracted to anything that smells like balsam fir... for me it is the smell of home. 

I hope everyone has an amazing holiday that is filled with love and happiness.

Can you believe Christmas is in 4days! It seems so crazy to me. This weekend should be busy yet fun, I have a lot of friends from out of town getting home for the holidays as well as my last full weekend of work. Last night my brother came home from college and it was so nice to spend some time with him and some of our friends.

Hello Loves!

Christmas is coming!!! Gosh, it feels like this month is just going too fast. I am starting to get super excited about being able to relax and spend some quality time with my family and friends.

I am extremely psyched to share today's merry fabulous holiday idea. Good Afternoon Lovies!

 

Is everyone having a good weekend? I'm looking forward to cuddling  up on my couch and watching a good movie tonight. Sounds like heaven after the last few weeks!

 

Todays merry fabulous holiday idea is for the home. As I talk about snuggling in on the couch it is absolutely vital to have excellent pillows that not only feel amazing but also look super chic. Skillins has a wonderful array of styles and colors. For my living room I love the burlap style pillows on the bottomn shelf, for the bedroom the blue spade print are beautiful and for my moms seaside cape the hooked nautical themed pillows would look great!

 

 

I feel like decorative pillows are sometimes hard to splurge on, so why not add itto your Christmas list, I did!
