So it is finally getting a little warmer here in Maine. There is still snow but it is slowly melting away. I'm ready for summer, and though I love the warmth of summer I also love that I can wear about 80% of my shoes that have been tucked away for far too long. When I lived in North Carolina I could wear sandals almost every day so my collection of open-toed shoes is much bigger than my winter wear.
A few weeks ago I felt it was time to reorganize my shoes. I must say I am quite talented when it comes to fitting over 50 pairs of shoes into my side of the closet, which you will see below.
If someone asked me to describe my style I would have to say I normally stick to the basics when it comes to clothing but I love, love, love funky, fun shoes, hats and bags. Accessories are my thing, so today I will introduce you to my shoe collection :)
over 40 pairs and counting at this point. My husband was quite disturbed when he walked into our bedroom.
Some pairs I have had since high school, though my collection has definitely increased over the last two years the most. Here are some of my favorites:
Love my Hunter boots, they go everywhere with me. In Maine you can go from a beautiful, warm, sunny day to snow in a matter of minutes, so keeping these in your car is a must!
These sandals rock. They are Simply Wang by Vera Wang for Kohls. Love them!
Nine West. These are more of a greenish/gray color... They were great for the fall and super comfy.
My most worn Summer heel, by Franco Sarto.
Plain T shirt+Jeans+ Converse = Wonderful!
All put away... didn't I say I was talented :) I got these shoe racks at Walmart, and they are awesome. They can become as long or short as you want, fitting in any closet!
Lastly, my husband's side of the closet. hahaha clearly shoes are not something we have in common. I will say he has more shoes, running sneakers and a large collection of combat boots (Like real ones that he wore in combat, not for stylish purposes haha), but I make him keep those in the basement!
I hope your all having a good week, I am going to dinner tonight with some fun ladies from work, and check back in on Friday for pictures from Marie Moreshead's amazing show :)
